Small Kitchen Organisation Hacks & Tips. Plus a Kitchen Tour for Stacey Clare

Kitchen Organisation Hacks & Kitchen Tour

A question I often get asked is how I organise my kitchen, because the truth is, my kitchen is pretty small! So let me run you through all my hacks and tips, that I use to keep my kitchen organised as well as giving you, a tour of exactly what’s in my kitchen drawers.

Keep in mind, I am a realist. I am not a professional organisers and I don’t have a huge amount of space to have designated drawers for tea towels or the good cutlery. I live in a small house in the inner city of Sydney with my 3 babes. I buy just what I need, the best quality I can get so it lasts a lifetime and I use those items multiple different ways.

Come check our my kitchen tour and be sure to ask any questions in the comments or on my Stacey Clare Instagram page I’d love to hear from you.

I bet we’re a little the same, and watching a tour on video is so much better than reading about it. So scoot over to my Stacey Clare YouTube and watch my video. Be sure to subscribe!

How big is my kitchen?

Although my island bench is long, 4m, I have no overhead cabinets. Rather odd for a kitchen I know, BUT, given my floorplan is very ‘open’ and I live in a small house in the inner city, I wanted it to look as ‘clean’ as possible.
I have storage on both sides of my island, and all of them are drawers (12 drawers in the island, each 1m wide). That was something I budgeted for in my reno, because I wanted to ensure that I’d be able to access all the bits well.

How do I organise the drawers?

Apart from the obvious, like-with-like, I really thought about the most ‘used’ items in the kitchen and for them to sit out of the way for the dishwasher / oven opening. Plus, close to the items I am using them for. So glasses, are right next to the sink, but also close to the dishwasher. And less used items like baking goods, glass jars can be right at one end, away from the main traffic spot.
