Healthy Halloween Recipe - Draculas Teeth

Halloween is a fun time to make recipes with the kids, and my healthy take on Dracula's Teeth will be a hit.

Best part, I made the red 'gums' using fresh raspberries. Of course, you could use food dye, but it's YUM to do it my healthy way. They taste so good!

Description

Halloween is a fun time to make recipes with the kids, and my healthy take on Dracula's Teeth will be a hit.

Best part, I made the red 'gums' using fresh raspberries. Of course, you could use food dye, but it's YUM to do it my healthy way. They taste so good!

Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need:
12 x fav cookies (I bake my own)
1 & 1/2 cups icing sugar (I use monkfruit sugar)
12-ish fresh raspberries
Small bag mini marshmallows
Almond slivers
*optional, strawberry or raspberry freezer fried powder


Instructions

Chop your cookies in half and set aside.

Pop your icing sugar in a bowl.

Using a fine sieve, mash the raspberries through it. I do this over the top of my icing sugar bowl. Then, stir the raspberry mash through the icing sugar. If it's runny, pop it in the freezer for 20 minutes to thicken.

If it isn't red enough, add some dragonfruit, raspberry freezer-dried powder, or a drop of food colouring. (See my note below)

Smear the icing mixture on the underside of the cut cookie. Then, stack the mini marshmallows around the side and a few in the middle to keep the mouth stable.

Pop the other half of the cookie on top, and using the almond slivers, place them in the spot so they look like fangs.

I store my Draculas Teeth in the fridge in a glass container!

Notes

You can 100% skip my raspberry idea and go straight to food dye. I like the 'Hoppers' brand here in Aus, they're all natural.
