Slow Cooker Full English Breakfast

I love me a healthy breakfast, one with all the snags, eggs and veg. I especially LOVE when I can make a ‘fry-up’ or better still, a full english breakfast in my slow cooker.

You can!

It’s nuts and really works.

Grab some snags, bacon, veggies and potatoes and make up this full English breakfast.

The heat on a slow cooker comes from the bottom and then goes around the edges. So when you pop foods on the outside walls of it, they’ll crisp up.

So my snags were perfect.
Bacon crunchy.
And potatoes,beyond!

The best bit was all the veg.
Perfect musshies.
Slow cooked tomato.
Baked beans, yum.

How a word of warning, you’ve got to use good snags. With all the love, the woolies ones created so much water in my cooker and the whole thing was a disaster. Good snags from a butcher, they made this ace.

I wrapped bacon around my sausages so they didn’t over-cook

Then flavoured my potatoes.

Popped the lid on to cook. Ensuring my keep-warm function came on my slow cooker. Click for the cooker I use.

At the end I added some greens and popped it all under the grill to crisp up while I scrambled some eggs and cooked the toast.

Grab your slow cooker and make a healthy breakfast recipe in it; a full English Breakfast! It is genius and so easy. Gran some sausages, bacon, veg and even hashbrowns.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 sausages
  • 6 rashes bacon
  • 1 tin baked beans
  • 1 large mushroom
  • 1 punnet baby tomatoes
  • 300 g baby potatoes (halved)
  • 1/4 tspn thyme
  • Butter

Side veggies:

  • 2 handfuls baby spinach
  • 6 pieces sourdough
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 avocados

Instructions

  1. Gather a few oven-proof cups, my standard coffee cups ones work well. And pour your beans into one, chop your mushrooms up and pop some butter and thyme on them. The other one pop your tomatoes straight in, I added some chopped shallots too.
  2. Pop your sausages, bacon and hash browns around the edges of the slow cooker. And then put the mugs inside. Lid on and cook for 6-hours on low.
  3. In the morning add any sides you like and get the bits out of the slow cooker and enjoy!
